Fun events at the Lemay Aero Club
My husband, Scott is a commercial pilot and has been a flight instructor at the Lemay Aero Club, Offutt AFB, NE. The Lemay Aero Club offers many fun events for members. Fly-in camping trips, fly-in breakfasts, Aviation Opportunity Camps and Boy Scout flying opportunities are among a few of the fun events at the Aero Club.

For the past two years, the fly-in camping trips have been at Cherokee, Iowa. Tents were set up at the airport by the air strip. Cherokee Bowling Alley is located across t highway from the airport. Cherokee is a beautiful town, within walking distance of the Cherokee Airport. There is a Gasthaus Bar & Grill, a soda fountain located at the Cherokee Main Street Pharmacy, a museum and a movie theatre.
The Lemay Aero Club 60th Anniversary Open House will be on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
